Baynovation is hiring a Quantitative Analyst Intern to join our team in San Jose, CA.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree from a top university
Functional knowledge and experience with statistical and numerical techniques and business acumen
Strong intellectual curiosity and desire to understand and learn about companies, industries, megatrends, and markets
Self-directed, can work within broad guidelines and prioritize workflow
Ability to consume, distill large quantities of information and develop insights from vast sources of data
including research reports, industry news, daily news publications, company press releases, etc
Excellent problem solving and analytical thinking skills a must
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work well in a collaborative environment
Responsibility
The Analyst will study disruptive technologies and megatrends and apply it to investments of public companies
The Analyst will help maintain and develop screens, perform fundamental research on potential stock ideas, back test performance, make balancing trades, review Board Reports and help with other activities including, reporting, marketing, presentation materials, and RFP activities
The Analyst will do first-hand market research, and learn valuations skills
The Analyst will also generate reports that help portfolio managers make buy sell for the fund
Performing quantitative analysis on fund trades and characteristics
Source, evaluate, and productionize alternative datasets with potentially leading latent information against time series objectives
Evaluate model effectiveness against benchmarks in terms of both statistical power and financial risk-adjusted performance as an investment signal to live trading strategies
Reviewing, editing, and contributing to board memos and marketing material
