Baynovation is hiring a Data Scientist Intern to join our team in San Jose, CA.

Requirements
Currently pursuing a B.A./B.S. Degree or higher in a quantitative discipline: statistics, applied mathematics, operations research, computer science, management of information systems, engineering, economics or equivalent and returning to the program after the completion of the internship
Good programming skills and knowledge of data science tools and libraries in Python or R, ability to write SQL queries to extract and analyze data.
Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, BI dashboarding, R visualization packages, etc.).
Good mathematical background (linear algebra, calculus, probability and statistics)
Familiar with machine learning techniques (regression, classification, clustering, optimization, etc) and understand their mathematical foundations
Ability to communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Responsibility
Data Scientist is core position involved in executing data analysis and modeling tasks
The overarching mandate for the Data Scientist is to execute on analytic delivery and to develop new analytic capabilities for the organization
Works on data model maintenance, development, & optimization, data file preparation, reporting & ad-hoc analyses
Perform predictive modeling & convert analytic findings into customer insights
